Listen to Hunter Hayes on iHeartRadio

Hunter Hayes has put together a video for his latest single, "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me."

The country star tells CMT that for the clip he took "a humorous approach to commiserating with your buddy about how miserable you are about being single."  Hunter explains that they wanted to do something that made fun of "that awkward sort of everybody's-got-somebody-but-me thing," and take the clip to the "are you kidding me" extreme.

The singer says he believes it's a feeling everyone can relate to, and can remember how much they hated every minute of it.

"Everybody's Got Somebody But Me" originally appears on Hayes' self-titled debut album.  He re-recorded the track with Jason Mraz for his "Encore" edition.  The Mraz collaboration is serving as the single.
