(Washington, DC) -- President Obama is sending a strong message of opposition to Russia's anti-gay laws. The White House announced Tuesday a delegation of openly gay athletes that will represent the United States during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of February's Winter Olympics in Sochi. The delegation for the Opening Ceremony will include tennis great while the Closing Ceremony will be attended by Caitlin Cahow, a two-time Olympic medalist in ice hockey. Both are openly gay. For the first time since the 2000 Sydney Summer Games, the U.S. will not send the President, first lady or vice president as a part of the delegation.
