A middle-aged man is recovering from a pistol-whipping from an armed robber in the 1000 block of South Clinton, while another man should count his blessings after being robbed near Clinton Square.

Syracuse police tell us one victim was hit by a male suspect holding a handgun and robbed of his cash. This victim is being treated for a head laceration at Upstate University Hospital. Officers say the other victim returned to his car parked at Herald Place to find a man breaking into it. That suspect threatened his victim with a knife and fled on a bicycle, taking the victim's car stereo. This victim was not injured. Neither victim has as yet been identified.
