One of the four criminal suspects from Chicago who are accused of being involved in a series of local burglaries has died.
Authorities says 26-year-old Chanel Lakatosz was found unresponsive in her cell at the Onondaga County Justice Center. Medical staff and sheriff's deputies performed CPR until an ambulance arrived. Lakatosz was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Lakatosz was part of the group arrested Sunday at a Syracuse hotel. They are charged with stealing more than half a million dollars in cash and jewelry from a series of burglaries in Manlius, Lysander, Liverpool, and Clay.
