Syracuse, N.Y. - A local children's hospital receives more than $180,000 from a national department store chain.

Kohl's is giving the gift to the Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital to help research Autism Spectrum Disorders.

"The Kohl's Autism and Related Disorders Program has reached the hearts and minds of children and adults throughout Central New York," says Dr. Carroll Grant, Ph.D., the director of the Margaret L. Williams Developmental Evaluation Center. "These programs have helped make our community more welcoming for everyone including, those with disabilities."

Since 2004, Kohl's has provided more than $1 million in support of the program at the children's hospital.
