Law enforcement arrested dozens of people in Onondaga County for welfare fraud.

Police took in 42 suspects in a major raid, who they say illegally took over $620,000 in public assistance benefits.  Tops on the list was a Syracuse resident who defrauded taxpayers out of more than $71,000.  Authorities say there were many arrested who scammed welfare payments between $30,000 and $40,000.
