GOP Makes Selections For Upcoming Elections

The Republicans of Central New York have chosen their candidate to try and take on Dan Maffei this November.

The GOP has selected former federal prosecutor John Katko over seven others to run for the 24th Congressional District.  

Katko, a resident of Camilus, served as a assistant U.S. attorney in Syracuse for fifteen years and spent most of that time prosecuting gang members in Syracuse.

DeWitt Police Chief Gene Conway receives the nod for Onondaga County Sheriff's race. 

Former Onondaga County assistant district attorney Robert DeMarco will run against Assemblyman Al Stirpe. Rick Zaccaria will run against Bill Magnarelli.
