SUNY Cortland has gotten official word that the New York Jets will return to campus this year for their summer training camp.
This will mark the 5th year for the camp in Central New York which drew 20 thousand football fans to Cortland County last summer.
The team admitted earlier in the year that they were scouting other locations, but have decided to return to Cortland which they call a great spot for training.
There's no specific date yet for the arrival of the team but a SUNY Cortland spokesman say they're planning on a late July time frame.
Most of the practice sessions are open to the public and the day the team arrives, the city will have a big meet a greet session for football fans.
Last year the training camp generated 20 million dollars for the local economy.
