Syracuse, N.Y. – The city and county’s top executives say that they need more details before they move forward, or don't move at all, in helping to build a hotel at Destiny USA.

Onondaga County Executive Joanie Mahoney told 570 WSYR’s Joe Galuski that, although the owners of Destiny USA are seeking county subsidies, she wants Syracuse mayor Stephanie Miner’s input on the $75 million project.

The owners of the mall are proposing a 250 room hotel, which would include a conference center. The hotel would be built near the mall's south parking lot on Hiawatha Boulevard. The owners of the 2.4 million square foot mall say they're working to secure private financing for the project, but want tax breaks from OCIDA.
