Onondaga County health officials confirm that more evidence of the Triple-E virus has been found.

The State Health Department confirmed that the virus was found in mosquitoes collected on East Taft Road a week ago. County health officials say they will not spray, claiming that falling temperatures and reduced mosquito counts make it unnecessary. They do advise the public to take precautions such as dressing appropriately when outside for long periods of time, and to avoid being out between dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
