(Town of Salina, New York)  – Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh reports that a 90 year old man drove his vehicle into a porch and through a garage Friday afternoon. At approximately 3:05 this afternoon, Deputy Laura Collins investigated a collision where Sam Stagnitta (90) of W. Molloy Rd Mattydale, lost control of his Chevrolet Cobalt and drove the vehicle into his next door neighbors bushes and porch located at 217 W. Molloy Rd. Stagnitta then drove his vehicle into and through the closed attached garage of his own residence. Stagnitta finally stopped his vehicle in the back yard of his residence, approximately 10 feet from his fence line.

Stagnitta was tended to by Mattydale Fire Department and NAVAC personnel, however he did not appear to have any physical injuries and refused medical attention. There were no reported injuries and Deputy Collins has not issued any tickets at this time. Deouty Herb Wiggins says Stagnitta's driver's license might be reviewed.
