Syracuse police say a pedestrian is in serious condition after they were struck by a car at James and North Salina Streets.

Officers say they responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a car and found a male who appeared to be in his late 30's who had a head injury. Their investigation learned he had been crossing James Street when he was struck by a Subaru Impreza going westbound on James. The victim has been hospitalized and is in serious condition. Their name has not yet been released. The crash's cause is still under investigation.
