Fulton Police and Fire are now searching the banks of the Oswego River for a woman who may have jumped or fallen into the water.

At about 10:30 Wednesday morning, several witnesses reported seeing a person jump off the Broadway Bridge and into the water. They also reported that a white female was seen climbing out of the river near the Lock 3 marina and walk towards the downtown area.

A pair of pink women's flip flops were recovered in the area near the location.

At this time, it's still unclear whether there's anyone in the Oswego River. The Onondaga County Sheriff's Department Air One helicopter is searching the area and so is the Oswego County Sheriff's Department Dive Team.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is being asked to contact the Fulton Police Department at 598- 4504.
