Syracuse Works To Stop Panhandling

Syracuse is working on cracking down on panhandlers.

The city is making an effort to get beggars off major intersections and under highway underpasses with a threat of jail time.  But there are even more determined panhandlers around Armory Square and the SU hill who often invade people's personal space.  There are many residents who say they avoid those areas because of the aggressive begging, and it is one of the top complaints the city gets.
