DeRuyter, NY – July 12, 2013 – Town of DeRuyter Supervisor Dan Degear lifted the DeRuyter Lake area State of Emergency and No-Wake Order effective 12:00 pm on July 12, 2013.
Road crews continue to work opening up Town roadways. The only non-seasonal road remaining in the Town that is closed to non-local traffic is
Low to moderate income residents of DeRuyter are also encouraged to apply for assistance through the Town’s Flood Relief Program. Applications can be downloaded from the Town’s website:
or picked up from the Town offices or the DeRuyter Free Library. “Our residents need aid now,” says Degear, “we initiated the local aid program to help those who cannot wait for the FEMA decision.”
