(Syracuse, NY)  A rollover accident sent a car crashing into the former Penfield Manufacturing factory on Syracuse's North Side. It happened shortly before 9 a.m. Friday at Park and Wolf streets. A 2014 Ford Escape, driven by a 33-year-old woman from Buffalo, went through a stop sign and crashed into a 2008 Hyundai sedan.

The Escape ended up on its passenger side in the intersection and the Hyundai crashed into the factory building, known for the house on its roof. It struck the building's gas main, leading National Grid to respond.

The Escape's driver will be ticketed on a charge of failing to stop at a stop sign, Bulinski said. Both drivers and a male passenger in the Escape were taken to Syracuse hospitals for check-ups.

Park Street and Wolf Street (Route 11) were closed for about an hour in the blocks surrounding the crash.
