Tuesday Randoms-There's a New Job called a "Good Vibe" Manager

Eclipse effect ... Many astrologers believe that a solar eclipse can bring about major changes in your life, changes that can be both positive and negative. So … is your life any different today? (Bustle, Time

All you need are good vibes … How’s this for a job title? Vibe manager. Yep, companies  are hiring vibe managers and paying them $85,000-plus a year to do things like throw lavish parties, create playlists and organize office field trips. Didn’t they used to call that a cruise director? (Moneyish)

Hands-on research … Science says we should be getting more massages. Who can argue with that? Here’s why getting a massage is good for you: It boosts the immune system, relieves headaches, leads to better sleep, helps your flexibility, is a natural painkiller, and increases your happy hormones. First-date follow-up … A dating survey found that 48% of women like to follow up after a first date within 24 hours. Guys still go by the three-day rule. 68% of men like to "play it cool" and wait almost three days before following up after a first date. (Your Tango)

High school guys standing shoulder to shoulder with girls ... They only went back to school on August 10th, but already over 50 female students at San Benito High School in California have received dress code violations for wearing the very trendy off-the-shoulder shirt. According to the school’s official dress code, tube tops and strapless shirts are banned, but the policy on off-the-shoulder shirts, which according to current students was a non-issue last year, has suddenly become a violation. Since the off-the-shoulder shirt violation insinuates in some way that male students are incapable of controlling themselves around females with bare shoulders, it’s almost as insulting to them as it is to the female students affected. That’s why, in support of their female peers and to protest the sexist dress code, a bunch of male students showed up to school wearing, you guessed it, off-the-shoulder tops!

And the cool thing – the protest actually opened a dialogue with the school principal. In a recent interview, San Benito High School principal Adrian Ramirez explained, "I've had 20 to 25 students who have come in to meet with me in small groups or individually and it’s been a good process in getting their insights in regards to some of the issues."  (Seventeen)
