What a great game last night! Syracuse defeated Saint Rose with an 80-49 on Thursday night at the Carrier Dome.
The best performance of the evening came from sophomore Oshae Brissett, recording a double double and finishing with 22 points, 14 rebounds and four assists. Newcomers Buddy Boeheim and Elijah Hughes likely delivered the two best performances of the night. Both players made three 3-pointers and finished with 19 points.
The most exciting play of the night came at the halftime buzzer. With about 3 seconds left on the clock Tyus Battle pulled down a rebound and looked ahead to find Buddy Boeheim breaking up the floor. Boeheim caught the ball and showed the clock awareness you'd expect from the head coach's son, pulling up and hitting a 3-pointer.
The Orange will play its second and final exhibition game of the season. The Le Moyne Dolphins will come to the Carrier Dome at 7 p.m. Thursday (Halloween night).
