Syracuse Recruit Joe Girard Leads Glens Falls to Section II Semifinals

Joe Girard III, a Syracuse recruit and soon to be High school graduate, has lead his school football team to the Section II semifinals on Saturday. His School, Glens Falls, won in a landslide victory against Hudson Falls at the Semifinals. Standing at 6-foot-two, he's a point guard in basketball and starts as a quarterback for Glens Falls. Girard just two weeks ago announced his intention to play basketball for Syracuse. Last year he broke the New York State career scoring record, currently he has 3,306 career points and is considered one of the top 3-point shooters in his class!

We are very lucky to have Girard committing to the Syracuse way, since he was a highly sought after prospect- he chose Syracuse out of several schools including Duke, Notre Dame, Boston College and Penn State. He said it was one of the most difficult decisions he ever made, but rest assured Joe, we all think you made the right choice! Lets give him a warm welcome to the Syracuse family and a congratulations on carrying his school team to victory!
