In its third year, Serenity Tattoo in Cicero, NY held an all-day art festival where people can purchase a tattoo in honor of those that have been impacted by cancer.
"Having a tattoo is something you can have forever, and it can also tell a story. I have a bunch of tattoos about having breast cancer and when someone sees it, it opens up conversation from me, and I love that part of it," the founder of SDBC, Ann Marie Otis explains. She says that survivors and supports in the community can share their experiences.
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, more than $2,000 was raised for SDBC. 50% of the proceeds will go to SDBC to help Breast Cancer research and treatment.
