The Central New York SPCA put out an urgent call for help Wednesday night as it prepared for the arrival of nearly 100 cats.
Staff says it was not a cruelty or neglect case. The owner agreed to surrender the cats for adoption if the SPCA withheld their name and area. The cats are purebred persians. The breeder of the animals got “overwhelmed,” the SPCA says. Now the agency is in desperate need of dry cat food, water bowls, as well as litter and litter-boxes.
There is a donation bin outside the agency at 5878 East Molloy Road in Mattydale.
