The Rosamond Gifford Zoo will be holding it's 9th annual “Art Gone Wild” fundraiser at the zoo this Friday November 16. Zookeepers have been working with the animals under their care to create the paintings. Rosamond Gifford Zoo Director Ted Fox says the "Art Gone Wild" exhibit was created to provide enrichment activities for the animals.

"It helps them get used to new things and helps them spend quality tie with their keepers so it works for everybody," he says.

Friday’s art sale and auction starts at 6 p.m. at the zoo. Dozens of pieces created by our zoo animals will be auctioned off in support of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers. A portion of this year's proceeds will also benefit wildlife conservation.
