According to the article on Syracuse.com, The New Fuji Buffet closed its doors permanently and suddenly about two weeks ago.
I have many personal memories going to this restaurant over the past few years. The food was always fresh and the prices affordable. I am sad to see this place go and I hope someone buys it up and puts in another great restaurant.
The building, which includes a finished basement, is for sale for $1.5 million, Jiang said.
The building has been home to a Chinese buffet restaurant since 1994 - before it was New Fuji Buffet it was called Main Chinese Buffet.
The 7,500-square-foot building has a long history of housing restaurants. Before opening as the Main Chinese Buffet, it was home to Garcia's Mexican Restaurant, which opened in 1989. Garcia's also had restaurants in Albany and Buffalo.
It’s sad to see them go, but I am hopeful something even better will step in.
