New Syracuse Police chief Sworn In

Syracuse is ushering in a new police chief, and with him a new chapter for Syracuse law enforcement. Frank Fowler retired as chief after nearly three decades of service, and welcomed the new Chief Kenton Buckner into the position. Mayor Ben Walsh named him as the incoming police chief last month and swore him in early Monday morning.

Buckner was police chief of Little Rock prior to his appointment as police chief of Syracuse since 2014. Prior to that he had spent 21 years with the Louisville police department in Kentucky. Lets join in welcoming Kenton to Syracuse and wish him luck in his new position!
