If you like hockey and want to me in a movie now is your chance.
Producers are looking for hockey players from the Mohawk Valley interested in being principal actors or extras as part of an open casting call for a “major motion picture.” The movie is set to be filmed in February in Central New York, according to a release.
The casting open casting call is set for 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at Clinton Arena on Kirkland Ave.
All hockey players auditioning on Dec. 20 must be 18 years old or older, according to Annie Delano, who is part of the casting process for the movie.
Players looking to audition should bring skates, hockey gear and a photo. There will be an opportunity to meet the directors, producers with Slater Brothers Entertainment and show off hockey skills.
Delano said the movie is based on the nonfiction book, Odd Man Rush.
According to reports, the book is about former hockey player Bill Keenan’s experiences “playing junior hockey, college hockey at Harvard, and professional hockey in Europe.”
