Puppy Rescued From Freezing Rain and Adopted By NYPD Cop

After a ruff beginning, a puppy finds his FURever home with the man who rescued him.

A few days after Christmas, two Brooklyn police officers rescued a scared and emaciated puppy chained to a fence in the freezing rain. After learning that the dog would be put down by a local animal shelter, Officer Pascale, one of the puppy's rescuers made the decision to adopt the furry four-legged pooch.

Three weeks after being rescued the pitbull mix puppy has been named, "Joey" and was reunited on January 23rd, with his now FURever friend and owner.

We couldn't have hoped for a better outcome for a puppy sweet little pup.

Check out the video of Joey running into Officer Pascale's arms after being at the ASPCA.
