Protect your identity and rid your home of confidential documents with ease with OCRRA's summer Shred-o-Rama event!
Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 8 a.m. – noon.
NYS Fairgrounds – Brown Parking Lot, across the street from Gates 3 & 4 on State Fair Blvd.
Residents can bring their confidential papers to be shredded at no charge. Five box limit per vehicle. Boxes should be medium-sized and easy to lift (measuring roughly 10" x 12"x 15") to keep attendees and staff safe from lifting injuries.
Personal records from a household such as medical documents, bank information, tax documents and other items containing account numbers or private details are ideal for drop-off.
Attendees do not need a reservation and there is no charge, as a result of our partners' donation of time and talent. Many thanks to Assemblyman William Magnarelli, Confidata, ProShred and Simple Shred for collaborating with OCRRA to help residents prevent identity theft and ensure that their minced paper is recycled.
While the event is free to all Onondaga County households, attendees are invited to make monetary donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The local chapter of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC #134) will collect donations through a "Fill the Satchel" effort for the MDA at the event.
