Onondaga County Schools to close due to Coronavirus Pandemic

SYRACUSE, NY - Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon has announced that all Public Schools in the county will close on March 20th, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

If the county gets a case before that date, the closures will occur on March 18th.

The schools will be set to re-open on April 14th, if further review around that time determines it is safe to do so.

All sporting events, field trips and public gatherings for schools are officially cancelled.

He confirmed that 26 tests have been conducted in the county so far, but all came back negative.
