Canadian supermodel Dayle Haddon died at the age of 76 on Friday (December 27) from a suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, the New York Post reports.

Haddon was found in a second-floor bedroom of a detached in-law suite of the Pennsylvania home owned by her daughter, journalist Ryan Haddon, and son-in-law, actor Marc Blucas, where she was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The Montreal native and Blucas' father, Wally, also 76, were both staying in separate areas of the guest house while visiting their children.

Wally was found lying face down in a first-floor bedroom of the detached in-law suite and reported to be in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Police said the suspected "high level of carbon monoxide" poisoning was caused by a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system and there was no indication of foul play.

β€œThe bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm,” Ryan wrote in a tribute post to her mother on her Instagram account. β€œShining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it’s most needed, I have no doubt. β€œShe was a woman in her power, yet soft and attentive to all. Deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful.”

No one in the main home was injured in relation to the incident, according to CBS News. Haddon signed to four major cosmetic companies, Revlon, Max Factor, EstΓ©e Lauder and L'OrΓ©al and was featured on the covers of Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan and Sports Illustrated during her modeling career.
