Sabrina Carpenter gushed that Dolly Parton looked âamazingâ in a behind-the-scenes look at the duoâs âPlease Please Pleaseâ music video.
Parton shared the clip on TikTok on Tuesday (February 18). Carpenter exclaimed, âyou look so cute! âŚYou look amazing,â when she saw Parton in costume on the set of the music video. âItâs the glasses,â she added later. âThey just automatically make it like, you mean business.â
Parton teamed up with Carpenter on a new duet version of âPlease Please Please,â which appeared on the deluxe edition of Carpenterâs Grammy winning album, Short nâ Sweet. The extended record arrived on Valentineâs Day. Parton previously shared a video of the moment the two artists met, writing in her caption at that time, âturns out, two things can be short and sweet.â
The Sean Price Williams-directed music video opens with Parton and Carpenter in a vintage truck. The visual includes a glimpse of a figure whose face is covered, but the personâs wardrobe resembles what Carpenterâs now-ex, actor Barry Keoghan, wore in the original music video. By the end of the video, Parton and Carpenter hear police sirens approaching behind them.
Carpenter said as the video premiered: âDolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!! I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me.â
âI want Dolly in everything,â Carpenter said in the video when she met Parton. âThank you for being you.â
