Hunter Hayes offered a glimpse into his at-home studio and shared a few childhood memories in the first episode of a five-part online series.
Hayes premiered Road To Evergreen on Monday (May 5) ahead of the next chapter in his career. The singer-songwriter āwanted to have a sort of conversation and āunpackā the road to here so Iām excited to share it all with you leading up to the start of a new season,ā he explained when he announced Road To Evergreen last week. New episodes will arrive on Mondays at 6 p.m. CT.
āThis season means something different,ā Hayes said. āThereās a reason youāre in my living room. ā¦This is more than just a studio. This is my world.
āIāve never been a fan of having a āstudio room,āā he wrote in a recent Instagram caption. āIāve always loved finding spaces that feel great being in and letting a studio grow in those spaces. The chaos of the gear scattered everywhere is a result of making sure that 1-music can be made/recorded at any time and 2-it never feels like a āworkā environment. This project has lead me to bring outdoors in where Iām now surrounded by over 30 plants and Iām proud to say MOST of them are doing quite well.ā
Road To Evergreen also shared a clip of Hayes performing on stage as a child, reflected on the earliest days of his career, a look back at his āoriginal debut albumā that he made at 7 years old, and more. Hayes said he āfell in love with it [music] and found it to be a purpose before I had to pick a career path.ā
The Road To Evergreen series arrives as Hayes has been working on Evergreen, an era defined by āfinding something, realizing all the dreams you've had and really manifesting the things you want for yourself and creating more of what you want in the world,ā he said in a previous interview with iHeartCountry. He said on the red carpet at the 2024 Peopleās Choice Country Awards that āEvergreenĀ is my life right now. Iām living and breathing it, and I cannot wait to share it.ā
