The Chicks will kick off a fall headlining run to mark two decades since the trio’s “record-breaking” album, Taking the Long Way.
The Grammy-winning group — including five Grammys for the 2006 studio record — “will bring their powerhouse vocals and electrifying stage presence to intimate theatres across the U.S., honoring the enduring impact of the album that defined a generation, and celebrating the deep connection with their fans,” states a press release announcing the tour dates on Wednesday (May 27).
The Chicks will kick off the “Taking the Long Way 20th Anniversary Tour” on September 30 with a show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. Other destinations include Chicago, Illinois; Washington, D.C.; New York, New York; Nashville, Tennessee; San Antonio, Texas; Austin, Texas; Seattle, Washington; and San Francisco, California. The tour wraps up with back-to-back nights at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.
