In a voicemail left for The Bobby Bones Show, a longtime listener called in with an unexpected offer for Raymundo and his wife.
The listener explained that she had been following the couple’s story for years and had recently heard more conversations about their interest in potentially becoming parents through surrogacy. She had previously been a surrogate in 2021 and she was still healthy enough to help them if they decided to move forward. Raymundo was thankful for the listener offering her services, and noted that they would ideally want someone who lived nearby so he could monitor the pregnancy process in person.
For anyone who hasn't heard Raymundo and his wife's story, Raymundo shared that his wife underwent a hysterectomy after battling breast cancer, which left her unable to carry children. However, the couple froze eggs beforehand, leaving surrogacy as a possible option in the future. He explained that the hysterectomy was recommended to help reduce the risk of cancer returning. When asked whether the couple still seriously discusses having children, Raymundo admitted the conversations usually happen while relaxing together after having a couple drinks on vacation. He said those conversations often end with both of them deciding they do not currently want kids. Bobby pointed out that it was the first time Raymundo had openly said that on the show. Ray clarified that both he and his wife feel they are not ready for children at this point in their lives, though he said they remain open to the possibility down the road. He jokingly added that maybe they would revisit the idea in their 50s or 60s.
