Gas Prices Expected to Drop, but Still Haven’t

Usually when hard weather hits, demand for gasoline goes down.  When demand for gas goes down, prices for gas also fall.  However, gas prices have stayed relatively high because retailers have not lowered their prices just yet.

With that said, it is expected that the trend of gas prices will go down in the weeks ahead.  This is because winter gasoline inventories need to move these fuels out to make way for summer blends of gasoline.
