Doctors are now concerned that looking down at your phone too much could really mess up your spine. Spine surgeons are especially worried about kids whose spines are not fully developed.
One of the authors, Dr. Todd Lanman said, "In an X-ray, the neck typically curves backward, and what we’re seeing is that the curve is being reversed as people look down at their phones for hours each day."
The doctors say the best thing to do is take breaks from looking at your phone and doing some exercise that strengthens the neck and shoulder muscles.
