YouTube announced that it will have stricter rules when it comes to firearms videos on the platform. It will no longer permit videos that encourage the sale of firearms and certain accessories through direct sales or links. Additionally, instructional videos about how to manufacture or install firearms, ammunition, high capacity magazines, as well as some accessories will be banned.
According to LocalSYR, Google, which is the parent company of YouTube faced criticism for allowing videos like these on their platform.
