When visiting the New York State Fair this year, patrons will find a much improved Orange Lot to park in. According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the paving on the huge Orange Lot will be completed by the time the State Fair opens on August 22nd.
The project’s cost was $27 million and will include spaces for 7,300 cars. 200 of those spaces will be designed for handicap parking. The paving of the lot is part of a larger effort to make the fairgrounds and the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater more of a year-round destination for visitors.
So, we can say goodbye to that dusty, bumpy old parking lot! Fair-goers and amphitheater visitors will be happy to hear the good news!
