Summer Has Beaten The Average For 90 Degree Days!

Summer 2018 in Central New York just became a hotter-than-average one on July 16th when the Syracuse area posted its tenth 90 degree or hotter day! In an typical year, Syracuse usually gets on the average nine 90 degree days. 

Despite the number of 90 degree days we have received, heat-wise, Syracuse has had a relatively normal summer so far. From June 1st until July 15th, the average temperature has been 68.7 degrees compared to a normal temperature of 68 degrees. 

Since summer still has a ways to go, it’s quite possible that we will add to the number of 90 degree days we have had so far. Enjoy it while you can cause you know that eventually another cold Central New York winter will descend upon our area leaving us wishing for some of these 90 degree days!
