Syracuse Orange Receive First AP Vote Since 2011!

With the great win over Florida State still fresh in our minds, Dino Babers team finally accomplished another milestone that we football fans in Central New York haven’t seen since 2011: The Syracuse Orange received an Associated Press (AP) Top 25 vote!

Ferd Lewis of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser place the Orange at Number 24 on his ballot giving Syracuse it’s first two AP points since October 23, 2011. Coach Babers told his team after the blow-out win that they had “just put themselves on the map.” The AP vote proved him right.

Syracuse soundly defeated the Seminoles of Florida State by a score of 30-7 setting up what could be a magical season up at the dome. Syracuse (3-0, 1-0 ACC) will be heavily favored to beat the UConn Huskies (1-2) next Saturday which would put the Orange at 4-0 for the first time since 1991! What a great start to this season! Get out and support this team!
