The "Blessings Of The Dogs" Took Place Saturday

The "Blessings Of The Dogs" took place this Saturday in Chittenango, in support of Clear Path's Dogs2Vets. Every year on/near St. Francis (the patron saint of animals) day, churches traditionally commemorate St. Francis with a blessings of pets. This year, however, it was a bit different! The episcopal diocese of Central New York and Clear Path for Veterans worked together to put on a "Blessings of the Dogs" event. Former veteran and priest, Thomas Margrave, said "the event celebrates the special relationship between veterans and the dogs that partner with them to provide them companionship, and emotional support and assistance for service-related disabilities such as PTSD."

All money raised by the event will got to Clear Path for Veterans' Dogs2vets program, which help place and train service dogs for vets.
