The Syracuse Chiefs Are Now the Syracuse Mets!

The Chiefs have officially become the Syracuse Mets. A version of the Chiefs nickname has been in Syracuse since 1934, but will be no more! The New York Mets just announced that the Syracuse Chiefs are becoming the Syracuse Mets.

The Mets bought the team last year and will put its farm-team players on the field of NBT Bank Stadium starting next spring.

It has also been announced that the stadium will be going through a 25 million dollar renovation. Including upgrades to lighting, sound, seats, clubhouses and the entrance.

We are told the Mets will be in Syracuse until at least 2043- so if some people don't like this change, maybe they'll learn to love it in the next 20+ years?

Many people are on social media talking about this change!

What do you think?!
