A truck collided with a low hanging railroad bridge on Onondaga parkway a little after one Tuesday morning. The area has a history of accidents, including in 2010 when a mega bus collided with the bridge killing four and another truck colliding with the bridge in 2016. The collision happened despite a myriad of signs warning of the low bridge.
The general fear is that these kinds of things could cause much more destruction, such as the accident which occurred in 2010. The driver of the 2016 collision was ticketed for not obeying a traffic control device, and many were calling for him to lose his commercial vehicle license. Do you think the punishment might be more severe this time, or a slap on the wrist like the last one? Tell us your thoughts.
