Teen Mows Flag Into Family's Yard To Honor Fallen Army Friend

A Haslet, Texas teen wanted to honor his friend who died while on deployment at the Arizona/Mexican border this Independence Day. As a result, he mowed a giant American flag into his family’s lawn.

Cameron James, 17, wanted to honor his boyhood friend, Army Pfc Kevin Christian, 21, who committed suicide while on deployment. James considered his friend a “role model” and wanted to make sure he was missed by those who didn’t even know him.

It took James four hours to mow the flag into the lawn using different settings on the family’s lawn mower. The results were striking and can be easily seen from above. James’ mother, Amy, was very proud of her son and feels that the flag honors all men and women serving our country this Independence Day. A very nice tribute from a Texas teen to his fallen friend!
