I remember when I had absolutely no money at all. Boy was it interesting! I never had a dime, and basically lived paycheck to paycheck. Always trying to find ways to save and make sure that I had at least SOME money for a rainy day.
There's a new study out now from GoBankingRates. From those between 18 and 24 – 72% had less than $1,000 in their savings accounts, and 31% had nothing. 8% had over $10,000 saved.
For those between 25 and 34 – they weren’t much better at saving. 67% had less than $1,000 in their savings accounts, 33% had nothing, and 15% had over $10,000.
WOW! That honestly isn't a surprise to me. It seems like we all want to flourish and spend spend spend on things we want. Also things we NEED - A college education, cars, housing and food. It can all add up fast.
