We see some insane things served at the ballpark (although they are SO good) - But this one sure tops the list.
At the Seattle Mariners home opener on Monday night at Safeco Field, concession stands offered toasted grasshoppers, called Chapulines, for the very first time … and they sold out. “The grasshoppers at Safeco are crunchy, limey, and definitely spicy," wrote @astrofansinseattle on Instagram.
I am not alone in loving baseball park food....Recently our family went to a NY Yankee - Boston Red Sox Spring Training Game in Ft. Myers Florida.
It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, warmth and great food like the huge oversized hotdogs and cold beer.
Seriously though. What is wrong with people on the west coast? Are you kidding me when I say they actually eat grasshoppers at their baseball games?! What does that have to do with baseball?
Ballpark food is simple pleasure like - hotdogs, burgers, beer, peanuts etc. Can you imagine a line in a song (take me out to the ballgame, buy me some grasshoppers). HAHA!
