I had the opportunity to go see the Chinese Lantern Festival and it is fabulous.
I am not going to post a lot of pictures as I want you to go see it. It is peak viewing around eight p.m. All kinds of silk Lanterns are illuminated. It is about a mile walk around the new "pond area" at the State Fairgrounds which was really quite impressive. The lights were reflecting off the water.
There were different food options including Chinese food and regular food. There were souvenirs for sale and a stage show with a Chinese performance of various talents including music dancing and skills.
My complements to the people who brought this to Central New York. I have been in the Syracuse area for some time and this is a new and entertaining thing that the whole family can enjoy. The kids faces were lit up looking at the displays.
It is open nightly through June 24th. Dress warm as it gets cold after dark.
