For a number of years, the NFL has been the biggest sports league in the land. Television ratings have been strong for football, while baseball ratings have been flat.
But, this does not mean baseball is dying? Not even close.
According to a new study from Forbes magazine, Major League Baseball is making big bucks. The average team is now worth $1.54 billion, which is a whopping 19% increase from last year.
That only puts baseball in 2nd place.
Now really - Baseball is America's favorite past time. There's so many fun memories many young boys have of going to their first baseball game with their Dad, and growing up rooting for their favorite teams. It never gets old, and it's a staple of what makes America so wonderful. It isn't going anywhere, even with all of these new rules to speed up the games.
