So this was one of the most interesting wedding stories I have ever read about, from ABC News:
A couple shared a common love of Spam, so when they got engaged it was a no-brainer for them to travel across the pond to tie the knot at the Spam Museum in Austin, Minnesota.
The groom, who legally changed his name to Mark "I Love Spam" Benson, says he grew up loving the product because his grandfather and uncle both worked for a Spam manufacturer in Liverpool. It's not known if Anne plans to take Mark's new name, but she says the Spam wedding was "a dream come true."
The couple enjoyed a Spam-themed wedding cake, blue and yellow flowers to keep with the product's color scheme, and "Spamatizers."
Personally I am a big fan of Spam. My Dad used to serve it to me when Mom had to be gone for business. We would make a spam sandwich with lettuce and tomato and mayo. It was yummy. I still make those today. I was talking about it the other day with Mom and she did not know that I liked spam as she never served it. Come to find out my Dad got his love for it while in the Army, it was a staple for the soldiers. I think I will have one today.
