According to a new Gallup poll, 53% of Americans say they exercised at least 30 minutes for three days in the past week. This is the highest level recorded since the poll was first taken back in 2008.
But, the people of some communities are better at getting their exercise in than others.
Topping the list of cities is Boulder, Colorado. 70% of the people there exercise regularly.
At the bottom of the list is the community that consists of Hickory, Lenoir and Morgantown in North Carolina. Just 42% of the people there get their workouts in, making it the couch potato capital of America.
Yikes. This is all scary stuff to hear. Personally, I am a Type A person. I always need to be out and about doing something and staying active. The only time I was confined to sitting around all the time was when I was sick with cancer. It's easy to get a questionable impression if we see people who are not as active. I feel like everyone is different, but at the same time, it's good to keep an active lifestyle.
Let me know what you think!
