It’s back!! What’s back? Why, the Downtown Farmers Market! The market opened for business Tuesday on a beautiful sunny day. Nearly 50 vendors have already signed up for the annual event. Merchants brought strawberries, peas, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, honey, and maple syrup.
Chuck McFadden, who has run the market for the past 42 years was happy with the opening day. “I wish I could take credit for the weather,” he said. In addition to vegetables and fruit, there will be at least 4 food vendors there. They include Toss ‘N’ Fired Wood-Fried Pizza, Lao Village, Rodfather’s BBQ, and Frank’s Franks. There will also be various musical acts each Tuesday, too.
The market will be open every Tuesdays until October 9th. The Downtown Farmers Market is held in Clinton Square. Check it out and see some of what the Syracuse area has to offer!
